Welcome to An Gleann Cottage Produce! We are a small confectioners based at our home, An Gleann (The Glen), on the stunning Hebridean island of Islay. Famous for its wide, open landscapes and beautiful coastline, Islay and it’s neighbouring island of Jura have inspired our range of gourmet tablet, both in our use of ingredients and in our package and label design.
As advocates of ‘slow’ food, An Gleann tablet is handmade in small batches to a traditional Scottish recipe. We use the finest quality and, where possible, locally sourced ingredients – notably Islay and Jura single malts, creating tablet with an Islay twist!
For lovers of good food or Islay’s famous whisky, our range of beautiful gift bags and boxes make an ideal present.
For your wedding or function our personalised favours or our loose tablet can provide a delicious taste of Islay at the end of a special meal.
We have a small outlet here at An Gleann, open from April to December. Visitors are welcome to drop by and browse through our tablet stock. You can also pick up some of our homemade jams, chutneys, free range eggs or delicious comb honey in season. We are quite often busy ‘making’ so please serve yourself and make payment to our honesty box!
